Stop Biomassacre Subsidies

On Saturday the 22nd of October concerned citizens affected and concerned about development of UK based Bio fuel energy plants rallied and raised issues concerning the pending public consultation by the Department of Energy and Climate Change over subsidies that would further support landgrabs, destruction, community displacement and deforestation that is linked with current UK Biofuels investments.

On Sunday the 23rd a group climbed Royal Trees dressed in Orang-utan suits and hung a “Biomassacre – Stop Subsidies” banner across the Royal Mall to bring attention to the issue. (watch the BioMassacre Mission Impossible video – vimeo.com/youandifilms/black-ops )
